Column and Boom manipulators are designed to work either independently or in conjunction with rotators and
positioners to locate an Automatic Welding Head in
the correct position over the workpiece to achieve the necessary downhand weld.
Apart from use with Welding Head Installations,
Columns and Booms are also suited to many other applications. For example they can be used in conjunction with Cutting Machine Installations, Semi-automatic Welding Installations and for supporting Grinding Heads.
Columns and booms are fully motorized for raising, lowering and boom traverse, and are available with the option of a motorized travelling base. Columns and booms allow the use of fully-automated production techniques which increases quality, reduces production time and
reduces operator fatigue.
